Creativity Slump. So today we’re going to be talking about creativity and productivity and how to get going when you’re feeling demotivated, aka how to get out of a creativity slump. First of all, creativity is something you have to keep at a steady pace, because if you do too much you burnout and if you do too little, you get carried away. Are you ready for a grandma sentence? Creativity is an ember that you need to keep on igniting again and again, but put it out it every time it it starts to spread. Today I’m going to be sharing some tips on how to get back in the mood. I’m also going to later do a post on how to avoid creativity slumps (I’m not even sure if that’s an actually term, but we’re just going to go with it). MY DEFINITION OF A CREATIVITY SLUMP In…

Okay. I’m going to be honest here, I kind of lifted this idea off of one of my internet friends’ blog, Fiona. She did a post on things to improve your day, and that gave me the idea of things to shove of stress. Yesterday was two of my toughest exams in one day, without a break, and I was so stressed throughout the rest of the exams that I couldn’t focus properly. So I looked up some tips on the internet and decided to put my own twist on them and sharing them with you guys. 1 TAKE AN EMERGENCY DANCE BREAK This is what I do a lot. Stop doing everything and have a dance break and as stupid as it sounds, it’s FUN. I’m not kidding. It’s FUN. I put on songs on full volume on my computer and then just start dancing to them. Yes. That’s…

Pinterest Algorithm. Today I’m going to be showing you guys how Pinterest works and why it’s known as any blogger’s BFF. Just bear in mind that I’m sharing only what I know – I’m in no way a Pinterest expert of any sort. Also, this post is more of a ‘How Pinterest Works’, and not ‘How to Use Pinterest to Grow Traffic’. Pinterest is the number one way to direct traffic to your blog other than SEO and Social Media. I get more than 80% of my blog traffic from Pinterest and that’s a lot. I’ve learnt some tips on how to use Pinterest as your vacuum to traffic, and today I’m going to be sharing those tips with you. SOCIAL MEDIA? First of all, Pinterest is not a social media site. There’s this common misconception that Pinterest is a social media platform, but actually, now it’s becoming more of…

Good SEO. Today I’m going to be teaching you how to optimise your blog for search engines so you get ranked and listed well up there. I’ll be walking you through all the essentials. Bear in mind that this is not ‘How to Optimise Your Posts’ but how to have good optimisation. If you want, I could do the first option later on, but for this post, it’s the latter. WHAT IS SEO? SEO is what determines how high or low you get ranked in a search engine like: Bing Google Yahoo Get the idea? There is a also difference between search engine and social media, so don’t confuse Yahoo Mail or Google Plus with Yahoo or Google. Good SEO has nothing to do with Good Social Media. Remember: All search engines work with keywords. It is not about you, it’s about your audience.  SEO stands for Search Engine Optimisation.…

Today I’m talking about little life lessons. I’m about to turn thirteen April this year. When I write this post it is currently February 22nd. Today I thought long and hard about what I want to post next. I thought of a book review, but nah. Those are for another time. I did, however, come up with 7 little life lessons that you can say I learnt in 7 years. I was inspired to do this when I saw Mila’s post on 18 Things I Learnt in 18 Years. Also, a lot of these are lifted off from her blog, just because some of the little life lessons she mentioned are also little life lessons I’ve learnt over the years. SEVEN LITTLE LIFE LESSONS AT 5 YEARS OF AGE Humans are not all bad. Some of them are good. Even those that are bad, there is some part of them…
